Donna Griffiths

Vice President

Previously I have held the following positions on The Rottweiler Club Inc., Vice President, Puppy Enquiries Officer plus general committee member.  I have owned and loved a B T for 7 years and have taken part in obedience training and breed showing with success.

Huge thanks to Tania and Barry Colquhoun, Nicole Harrison and Val and David Walker for their friendship, support and advice.

I plan to be proactive on the committee and help promote the breed.

Nicole Harrison

Secretary

I have been involved with numerous breeds over the past 50 years.

I am qualified to judge the following groups:

3 - Gundogs

4 - Hounds

5 - Working

6 - Utility

7 - Non-Sporting

The breeds I have owned, shown and loved are the Boston Terrier, Beagle, Boxer, Akita, Whippet, Poodles, Saint Bernard and Shiba Inu. My dogs have won many Speciality and All Breeds Best In Show awards and many have become Grand Champions. I have also handled Doberman, Afghan, Border Terrier, Rhodesian Ridgebacks, and various other breeds over a 50-year period.

Together with my parents, we have bred many generations of BISS winners in Boston Terriers and more than 100 champions across 7 countries.

I was gifted my first Whippet by Phil and Rae Kersey, Woollahra Kennels, which started a long and successful involvement in the Breed, having been entrusted with some of the top winning whippets from some of the World’s top kennels to campaign. The breed is still very close to my heart.

A favourite memory in my years in dogdom, was winning BIS at The Boxer Club speciality under Tim Hutchings of Winuwuk fame with our homebred bitch and BIS All Breeds with a Boston under Terry Thorn (UK). The speciality BIS awards from some of the world's top judges are the epitome of my dog exhibiting days!

Now I have done a full circle and have come back to the Boston Terrier with the goal to continue my mother’s incredible 50 years commitment to breeding sound, healthy, fully tested quality Boston’s.

I have been on many committees over the years doing my best to present dogdom to the community in a positive and educational manner, using my skills in Marketing, Sponsorship and Event Management to do so. This now flows into my Facebook page set up to educate judges, Boston Terrier owners and more about this fabulous breed. The articles do cross over to any other breed, and I am honoured to have such support on this page from around the world.

I am interested in helping to support the club move forward, I have owned Boston Terriers for almost 12 years and in the last 2 years have progressed into showing and have a 5-year breeding plan that I will be working actively to fulfil.

I am very motivated to see consistency in health testing in our breed, which I believe will see a stable future for Boston Terrier breed in NZ.

I actively support other BT owners by way of the Auckland Boston Terrier Owners Group (Facebook), and via the Boston Terriers NZ page (of which I am an administrator), and I am always available to speak to anyone about their BT or about the breed. I have two Boston Terriers, Friday and Cuba – Cuba who I regularly show has helped me learn the discipline of showing our wonderful Boston Terrier breed.

I am very committed to the Boston Terrier breed and plan to be involved with the breed for as many years as I have left in my life. When I am not showing Cuba I am business in my dog walking business, Sticks & Bones in Auckland – which is a well established dog walking business (close to 10 years) that has garnered an excellent reputation over time.

We are owned and loved by 3 beautiful Bostons that we have shown with our girl Riot, being the mother of Evie. I was proud to pilot Riot to RBISS at the 2022 Boston Terrier show.

We have been involved in dogdom under the Martyn Prefix for over 50 years, breeding Dobermans. Our dogs have taken out top awards at many shows including Doberman of the Year on many many occasions.

We have bred Supreme and Grand Champions in the Dobermans and served on many committees over the years.
