JUDGE: Guest Judge from United States – Boston Breeder

START TIME APPROX: 11am - $5 per dog with great prizes to be won!

START TIME APPROX: 1pm - Held in conjunction with 4 All Breeds shows.

CLASSES: All classes 1 – 11 and 1-11a – fantastic prizes to be won!

Speys and neuters can be entered in the championship show in any relevant class. Registered Bostons owned by non Dogs NZ owners, can be entered in the Championship Show along with $10 ‘daily fee Payable to Dogs NZ. So let us know if you would like to come along. Exciting Goodie bag for every Exhibitor in both events.

Judge will be doing a critique for each dog entered in the Championship show.

Our Judge

Kim Rutherford is an AKC Breeder of Merit of both Boston Terriers and Boxers, residing in Texas where she was born and raised. She breeds and shows the  dogs in partnership with her daughter Whitney. She met her first purebred Boxer at age 7 and has been passionate about the pedigreed dog world ever since. Kim purchased her first show Boxer in 2001, and in 2002, the first of many Boston Terriers joined the Boxers as permanent family additions.

Kim has bred 50 AKC champions, including several BISS and Group placing wins, along with multiple Sires and Dams of Merit producers, with the majority being Boston Terriers. They proudly owner handle all of their Bostons. Some of her favourite consistent winning dogs were BPIS CH Brio’s Avenging Angel, CH Brio’s Vigilante, ROM, BISS CH Brio’s Elegant Legacy, BISS CH Brio’s Fashion Statement. Kim has bred 2 Dams of Merit in Boxers, meaning each one had to have 4 champion get; CH Brio’s By Way of A Star, DOM, Beacon’s Fueling the Fire, DOM.

Kim was also the breeder of the American Boxer Club’s Top Producing Dam in 2010, CH Beacon’s By Way of A Star, DOM, a significant accomplishment. She has been a member of the Boston Terrier Club of America for 18 years and is also a member of her local All-breed Cen-Tex Kennel Club. Along with ring stewarding, she decided to give back to the breeds and the sport that has been her life’s passion by becoming an AKC breeder judge of Boxers and Boston Terriers. She is currently working on attaining judging status of the rest of the Non-Sporting Group breeds, then will proceed to the Working Group.
